Jennifer and Jeff Hawkins Join 2012 Elder Law Institute Faculty
Jennifer and Jeff Hawkins joined two other married couples on the 2012 Elder Law Institute faculty at the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum in Indianapolis to teach elder law firm ethics from the perspective of married couples working in the same law firm on Friday, October 12, 2012. On the previous day, October 11, Jeff taught a session about estate planning opportunities if Congress retains the $5 million+ gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax exemptions and as Indiana phases out the inheritance tax.
Jeff Hawkins Speaks at Indiana Farm Bureau Conference
Jeff Hawkins presented a paper on oil, gas, and coal bed methane (CBM) law to a packed crowd ay Vincennes University on August 2, 2012. Jeff notified the crowd that Exhibit A of his paper accidentally showed 2010 legislation, numbered SEA 71, instead of the 2011 coal bed methane gas legislation numbered SEA 71 that he intended to insert in the materials. Hawkins Elected to ACTEC
The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) has elected Jeff R. Hawkins to its 2011 class of Fellows. Jeff is now one of ACTEC's 41 Indiana Fellows.
