Jennifer Hawkins

Jennifer Hawkins graduated in 1988 with the degree of Bachelor of Music Education with honors from the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. Jennifer graduated from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1992 with the degree of Juris Doctor. She was admitted to the Indiana Bar and United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana in 1992.

The National Institute for Trial Advocacy conferred a diploma upon Jennifer for her completion of the Indiana Trial Advocacy Skills Workshop in 1993. She served as a Greene County Deputy Prosecutor in 1993, 1994, and 1998. Jennifer's clients have engaged her in estate administration, guardianship administration, real estate litigation, and lawsuit mediation.

Jennifer and Jeff share a monthly newspaper column about estate and trust administration, estate planning and elder law called “Planning For Wealth & Security.” Presently, the column is published by Sullivan Daily Times, Linton Daily Citizen, Evening World, Jasonville Leader, Worthington Leader, and Clay City News.

Jennifer is a member of the Indiana State, Sullivan County, and Greene County Bar Associations. She has served the Greene County Bar Association as its President, and she severs the Sullivan County Bar Association now as its Treasurer. Jennifer also serves actively on the Sullivan County Community Foundation Board of Directors.

Trustees, executors, and guardians engage Jennifer to represent them in their administrations of trusts, estates, and guardianships. Her practice style enables her to work closely with her clients and encourage them through emotionally challenging circumstances. Jennifer also practices real estate and adoption law.

Returning to the Wabash Valley has please Jennifer very much. A 1984 graduate of Dugger Union High School, Jennifer enjoys seeing her childhood friends regularly and spending time with her family.

Music plays a big part in Jennifer’s life. She sang in musicals and marched with the Dugger Marching Band in high school. Jennifer sand in numerous ensembles and marched with the Marching Hundred band during her years at Indiana University in Bloomington. Nowadays, the music teacher/lawyer enjoys sharing her music with her family and friends at home and in worship. Jennifer and Jeff sing from time to time with an acappella praise team of fellow worshipers.

God, family, and friends share much of Jennifer’s energy and talent. The law firm enables Jennifer to spend much of her time at home with daughter Erin. The family and friends worship God together and raise their children in a community of faith. Jennifer builds scrapbooks with her dear friends, while their children play together in each other’s home.
